Plywood substrate for granite tile countertop? - best substrate for granite tile countertop
I am installing a tile countertop, granite and wondered what the best way to ensure the subfloor of plywood. I was told that I can use 3 / 4 "AC plywood and sealed with a sealer called Redguard. This does not necessarily mean installing an additional base plate.

Since you are with tiles made of granite, not a piece of granite that is used cement backer board. The wear resistance is plated moisture underneath. Sealing Redguard have 4 or 5 layers and drying time between coats.
They have better results with backerboard-not knots or shrapnel.
